Influence Learning Center (ILC), a Christian homeschool learning center in Orange County, began in 2020 as a licensed preschool under the name Influence Academy, serving families in Anaheim Hills, CA, and operating under the spiritual authority and governance of Influence Church, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. From its inception, ILC was envisioned by Pastor Phil and Tammy Hotsenpiller as a ministry of the church—designed to partner with families in raising children in a Spirit-led, biblically grounded, and academically excellent environment. During its early years, the school faithfully served the local community by providing a nurturing, Christ-centered preschool experience for young children.

As Influence Learning Center continued to grow, families throughout Orange County expressed a strong desire for expanded educational opportunities beyond the preschool years. During the COVID season—when traditional educational options became increasingly limited—church leadership prayerfully sought a flexible and faith-based solution. In April 2022, the Lord provided clear direction to transition into a homeschool learning center model, allowing ILC to better serve families seeking Christian education in Anaheim Hills and surrounding Orange County communities. Influence Learning Center officially launched as a homeschool learning center in September 2022, continuing its mission to equip the next generation to know God, think critically, and live with purpose.

Leadership & Oversight

Influence Learning Center, a homeschool learning center in Orange County, is led by Sheri Pike, who serves as Executive Director, providing vision, leadership, and oversight of the program. She works closely with Kristi Robertson, our Administrator, who supports daily operations, communication, and organizational excellence across the campus. Jennifer Palumbo serves as Campus Operations Assistant, helping maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive environment for students, staff, and families throughout the campus.

Diane Campos serves as Executive Administrator for Influence Church and provides administrative oversight, ensuring that Influence Learning Center remains aligned with the church’s mission, policies, and operational standards.

Pastor Nate Snyder serves as Pastoral Oversight, providing spiritual leadership, guidance, and accountability, and ensuring that Influence Learning Center remains firmly rooted in biblical values and under the authority of Influence Church.

MISSION & VISION

At Influence Learning Center we seek to inspire children spiritually, intellectually and socially and to equip them to step into the role God has planned for their lives. We do this by hosting dynamic classes and community experiences that will challenge students to discover their individual giftings, abilities and interests.

Influence Learning Center, a Christian homeschool in Anaheim Hills, is a homeschool-hybrid designed to support homeschooling families by providing strong academic enrichment, structured community, and meaningful learning experiences for students from TK through high school. Our hybrid model blends in-person instruction with home-based learning, offering families both flexibility and depth in their educational journey.

Each term, ILC curates a robust and thoughtfully designed class schedule that supplements and enhances a family’s homeschool program. Parents may select individual classes that align with their child’s learning style, interests, and academic needs, allowing for a fully customized educational experience.

In addition to our on-campus offerings, Influence Learning Center, a faith-based homeschool in Orange County, partners with trusted third-party vendors who provide elective courses near our campus. These preferred vendors offer engaging classes in areas such as STEM, art, sports, history, science, chess, and archery. ILC coordinates schedules with these partners so families can build a cohesive, well-paced schedule without unnecessary gaps or conflicts.

Community is a central value at ILC. Students participate in supervised lunch periods, monthly chapels, field trips, and seasonal celebrations throughout the year. These shared experiences foster connection, belonging, and relational growth, creating a supportive learning environment where students thrive both academically and socially.

Influence Learning Center is a vibrant community of homeschooling families who cherish the freedom and opportunity to educate our children at home—intentionally shaping learning around each child’s unique needs and God-given gifts, talents, and interests. We exist to support and strengthen families by providing exceptional educational and experiential opportunities within a Christ-centered, relational environment.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

 

  • Core Classes:
    • We offer core classes for TK through middle school students in the areas of Language Arts, Math, Science and History.
    • Beginning fall 2025, we will also be offering a robust schedule of high school classes (grades 9-12), which include traditional A-G subjects and electives.
    • Our skilled instructors provide clear communication to parents and students each week identifying daily classroom instruction and home-based work.
  • Kingdom Values and Enrichment Classes:
    We also offer optional enrichment classes for our students including Entrepreneurship (collaborative learning), Spelling, Reading and Writing Foundations, Ballet, Hand-Sewing, Film Production, Bible Basics and more.
  • Elective Classes:
    We are able to point you to independent vendors who offer an excellent assortment of specialized classes for your young learners! Classes are in the areas of the visual arts, yearbook, health and fitness, S.T.E.M., marksmanship, woodworking and Spanish. You would be working with vendors directly to sign your kids up and these vendors are not a part of the ILC program.
